Cantina del Ponte

Design
A bold, 1920s-style figurative mural brings the restaurant’s Thames-side heritage to life through a richly imagined Mediterranean dockside scene. With a rhythmic, almost cinematic flow, it traces the journey of fresh produce—from the arrival by ship, to bustling markets, through the hands of cooks, and onto the tables on of the Cantina. Stylised and expressive, the mural fuses storytelling with visual design, transforming history into a vibrant, immersive artwork.
This complex stylised design in a 1920s style which took longer to design than to paint!
“The main feature of the Cantina’s interior is Timna Woollard’s mural..which Conran considers the finest piece of decorative art in the Gastrodome.” - Sir Terence Conran - “The Gastrodome Cookbook”
