Client Sir Terence Conran
An abstract mural & artworks throughout the restaurant are composed of bold, colour-blocked forms that serves as the backdrop for an incised plaster drawing of kitchen still life items, creating a layered interplay of surface and depth. Inspired by Ben Nicholson and the 1940s St Ives group, the composition explores the tension between structure and spontaneity—where sculptural line meets painterly abstraction in a quiet homage to mid-century British modernism.
