Tableux Vivant

In the John Boorman’s film, ‘Where The Heart Is’, Suzi Amis plays an artist who graduates from college with a 16mm film involving trompe l’oeil body painting. The artist and her siblings are kicked out of home by their father and move into a derelict house. She is then commissioned to produce a calendar for an insurance company called, ‘Insure Yourself Against Acts Of God’. She incorporates her family and friends into these paintings, and uses the walls of the house as her canvas. Thus changing their environment into a fantasy world.
